Carisma delivers Executive MBA training in Operations Management at NEU Business School, Hanoi (Vietnam)
Carisma's CEO, Dr. Marco Busi, was invited by the Business School at the National Economics University, to design and deliver a course on Global Operations Management on their e-MBA.
The course will focus on several key areas in operations management, including performance objectives and trade-offs; strategic initiatives such as ECR, JIT, and agile operations; benchmarking and the balanced scorecard approach; the importance of developing new products and services; approaches to evaluation and to process improvement (e.g. Lean and ^ Sigma).
This course’s objective is to enable participants to understand:
- What drives business competitiveness
- What constitutes strategic operations management
- Inputs and outputs of operations management
- The role of technology in operations management
- How an organisation’s vision translates into operations.
By the end of this class, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of various operations management strategies
- Identify and use a range of operations management techniques that can be considered in the development of an operations strategy
- Identify key steps and techniques required to design and manage global supply chains
- Define global sourcing strategies appropriate for your organisation
- Design a performance measurement system to measure operations performance
- Conduct an operations improvement project, using techniques such as process mapping and modelling, benchmarking and business process re-engineering
