Upcoming Industry Events:
- The International Workshop on Responsive Manufacturing, organised by SFI Norman, will be held in Trondheim, Norway on November 3 and 4, 2008. Dr. Marco Busi will deliver an Industry Workshop on Global Value Chain Control, with specific focus on "Outsourcing from a Global Perspective".
- The Fifth National Convention, ASAP Service Management Forum, organised by the ASAP Project Members will be held in Florence (Italy) on November 6 and 7, 2008. The organisers have invited a keynote contribution by Dr. Marco Busi on "The Evolution of the Customer Service Industry in the UK". Other Keynote speakers include representatives from SKF, FIAT Auto and Toyota Motor Italia.
- The 12th SMARTLOG Seminar on "Global Factory - Global Manufacturing and Logistics Strategy in the Norwegian Manufacturing Industry", organised by SINTEF Technology and Society and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, will be held in Oslo on November 25. Dr. Marco Busi will deliver the keynote presentation "Competitive Leverages in Global Value Chains"

Dr. Marco Busi delivered the keynote presentation "Global Manufacturing: how to operate locally but compete globally" and he was chair of the roundatable discussion on ""How to gain competitive advantage through operational excellence".
